ASHOURA RECİPE WİTH PECAN NUT

It is time to bake Noah’s pudding and share with all family and neighborhood. This Middle Eastern tradition lives with all warmth and reminds us the value of each other and every food in our kitchen. Sedef Iyibar shared a new recipe with cranberries and pecan nut.

 

Ingredients:

500 gr. wheat

2,5 lt water

350 gr. sugar

200 gr. Boiled chickpea

200 gr. Boiled beans

100 gr. Yellow grapes

8 dried apricots (sliced)

100gr. nuts

1 tea glass of milk

2 ts of aqua rose

100 gr. Pecan nut

100 gr. cranberry

 

Recipe

Soak the wheat one night before.  After they soften add other ingredient and sugar.

Boil the mixture for 30 minutes until it is dense. Add rose water and milk and turn the heat off. Don’t use flour or starch you make it denser.

Share the ashoura into bowls while it is hot and let it cool.

Use pecan nut, blueberries, cranberries and such to garnish.
