Healthy Snacks for Kids

September is a big rush for mothers. It used to mean only getting ready for school season rush may be but for a while it also means to prepare healthy snacks for school. If you listen doctor suggestions and try to keep your child safe from white flour, refined sugar and such, here are some recipes to use.

Believe me, the troubles of being a mom is common. Getting your children like healthy food and raise them as well as we can. When we consider the relationship of the intestine with body and soul wellness it is inevitable to feed them with home-made healthy food. It is my pleasure to present these recipes for your family.

There are some points to consider while preparing healthy snacks. The most important part is not baling honey. Some engineers don’t agree but most of the doctors think that we shouldn’t. I believe to avoid from suspected things. I use dried or fresh fruit instead of honey if I have to bake.

When you look over the recipes you’ll see there is no baking powder or yeast. I use bake or carbonate if I have to because both of them are refined substitutes.

 

Sugar Free Banana Muffin  

 

Ingredients

  •  10 dates
  •  3 bananas
  •  3 ts of tahina
  •  1 ts of cinnamon
  •  4 eggs
  •  ½ glass of grated coconut
  • Salt
  • ½ ts of carbonate

 

How to Do

Comb out the seeds of dates and put them in hot water for 3-4 minutes.

Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees.

Put dates in rondo and smash.

Add bananas and have a smooth mixture.

Add rest of the ingredient and run rondo for a few times more.

Spread the mixture into muffin trace and put into oven. Don’t open for 20 minutes, but after that you should check with a clean toothpick if it is done or not.

Let it rest for 10 minutes. Serve cold.

 

Crispy Quinoa Crackers

Ingredients

  • ½ tea glass of quinoa
  • 1 glass of water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ts of olive oil
  • 2 spoon of flaxseed powder
  • 2 spoon of cheese
  • 2 spoon of rough almond
  • 1 ts of pepper or thyme
  • 2 spoon of sesame

How to Do

Put quinoa and water in a small pot. Boil until dry and settle. Mix boiled quinoa, eggs, olive oil, almond and pepper.

Put baking paper on the oven strand and pour the mixture as a thin layer on it. The crackers will shape as strand it will be easy to cut.

Preheat oven to 180 degrees and bake for 25 minutes. Change bottom and top carefully and bake for 25 minutes. Serve cold.

 

Vegetable Cucumber 

Ingredient

  • 2 large cucumbers
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 cayenne pepper
  • 1 bowl of yoghurt

How to Do

Make strips out of cucumber with a vegetable slicer. Cut the carrots and peppers as big as a match.

Get the cucumber and put some yoghurt on it. Then, put two of the vegetable you sliced and wrap them with cucumber.

But them in a serving dish.

 

Non-gluten Mini Pizza

 

Ingredient

  • 1 glass of durra flour
  • ½ tea glass of grinded flaxseed
  • 1 ts of sesame
  • ½ tea glass of water
  • Salt
  • 2 ts of tomatoes conserve
  • ½ cayenne paper
  • 1 glass of leavened cheese
  • ½ glass of olive
  • Vegetables you like
  • Pepper

 

How to Do It

Mix durra flour, flaxseed powder, sesame and salt. Stir eggs in a different bowl and add water and wtir a little bit more.

Pour eggs into solid mixture and stir them with a fork. You will have slosh dough. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes after wrapping with a stretch film.

Meanwhile boil peas and chop vegetables you choose.

Put a baking paper on an oven tray. Get a glass of water with you. In order not to stick the dough in your hands, get them wet and have a piece of dough. Make the dough thinner with a knife (remember to wet them as well)

Spread a spoon of tomatoes on the dough, cheese and vegetables you like. Sprinkle pepper and salt top.

Bake for 10 minutes in preheated 180 degrees oven.

 

Apple Cinnamon Cake

 

Ingredient

  • 5 dates
  • 2 apples
  • 2 ts of tahini
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ glass of coconut powder
  • 2 sp of cinnamon
  • Salt
  • ½ tea spoon of carbonate

 

For top:

  •  ½ apple
  •  2 tea spoon of cinnamon

 

How to Do

Slice dates into two and let them rest in hot water for 3-4 minutes. Slice apples. Heat oven to 180 degrees.

Make a puree out of dates in kitchen aid. Add apples make smooth mixture.

Add tahini, cinnamon and salt and run the robot for a few times. Add the rest of the ingredient.

Put walnut-big pieces into the oven trey and flatten them with the back of a spoon. Be careful about letting a little space between them.

Check if it is baked after 15 minutes. Their color will not change only will be pink. Carefully out them into a plate.

Cook apple with cinnamon in a pot.

Pour apple-cinnamon mixture on to the cakes. You can add honey if you like.
