With MEHTAP ELAİDİ; ‘’VE-DA-HA’’
Elaidi gave us the alternative runway experience and presented the Ve-Da-Ha collection around a long fancy table. She claims to be inspired by the modern dance of Pina Bausch, music of David Bowie and vintage fashion adds.
ÖZGÜR MASUR’S LONG EXPECTED COLLECTION
When the fashion week program was announced everyone was thrilled about the Masur’s collection more than anyone. He obviously fulfilled the expectation of the fashion guru’s and amazed us all with Couture 2018 collection. The 50 pieces were made by hand workmanships which tell a tale about the long trip to Japan, China, India, Iran and Anatolia. The engravings, pailettes, gems and furs were the delicious details about the pieces which had a dazzling effect on audience.
ATIL KUTOĞLU’S PARİS NOSTALGY
Inspired by 50’s Paris atmosphere and famous writers like Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus and Simone de Beauvoir, Atil Kutoglu presented a collection of 76 pieces for the fashion week. The most famous worldwide models walked on the runway and the pieces amazed everyone.
Beginning with half hour delay, Umit Kutluk fashion show proved it was woth to wait. The models walked in slow motion to tell the story of the show, the pieces gained attention with pearls, dimensional flowers and pink.
IMAS ‘NEW GEN’ COLLECTİON
Istanbul Fashion Academy which prepares a new collection with students and graduates, stirred up the runway with NEW GEN collection.
Among 8 young and talented designers; Asude Senoglu presented “Fake ID”, Neslihan Comez “Dual Souls”, Tugce Demırhan “Los Magicos”, Tugce Guresci “Perfume and the Power of Your Beauty” and Gizem Gungor “4 Times Four”, Merve Gulbudak “My Heart is Single Kubra Akgunlu “Sirius”, Sanem Esen “Free to be Freak” collections were heart-stealingly beautiful.
Anyone who expected an ordinary collection from Basak Cankes was so mistaken. The designer brought art and fashion together with “Wearable Art Experience” concept and presented “Love Funeral” story painting the runway red thanks to Mercedes-Benz support.
