Aysha.com.tr has chosen remarkable long-sleeve gowns from Academy Awards 2017 that celebrates looked glorious in.
When it comes to dresses, the Oscar’s red carpet is a very powerful vehicle for actresses and fashion world. For an actress, a right dress can make a star shine like supernova, such as Nicole Kidman in the chartreuse chinoiserie style John Galliano gown for Dior or Hillary Swank with modest-from-the-front-but-daringly-backless navy Guy Laroche. It is also a catapult for designers; remember how Elie Saab became a household name with Halle Berry’s nude illusion dress with floral embroidery and a skirt of scarlet which paved the way for countless versions of the beaded nude dress.
Despite these years Academy Awards were out shined by political climate, the Red Carpet was remarkable for me. We have seen many long-sleeve and high neck gowns that provide a good base for muslim fashion, I think. I don’t believe Muslim clothes are regular ones just with more fabric. It has an exclusive aura, at least it supposed to be, not just because rules of modest dressing and hijab but also because a Muslim Women makes a statement with her stance. On the other hand, we can not gloss over the power of Red Carpet over the fashion industry. Interpretation of different long sleeves will enrich muslim fashion as well I believe.
Talking remarkable dresses, initially there is Jessica Biel’s fully beaded metallic champagne-coloured body hugging number that looked like it had fraying details by Kaufman Franco, topped off by a dramatic feather-like and diamond collar necklace from Tiffany & Co.
Champagne color was a fully covered up Dakota Johnson in a high collar, long sleeved, floor-length silk satin Gucci gown with pleating on the bodice and a large bow around the waist was definitely Aysha’s favorite
The relative newcomer Ruth Negga has been making style waves this award season (she was also on the cover of Vogue magazine). And for the Oscars her red Valentino Victorian-style long sleeved dress with a high collar made of lace was a directional fashion statement.
Isabelle Huppert who renders what is gracefully aging for all of us stepped out in a long-sleeve, shimmery nude gown at the 2017 Oscars on Sunday. The actress, styled by Jonathan Huguet, paired her Armani Prive gown with Repossi jewels and Christian Louboutin shoes.
Zuri Hall was fresh and balanced with lace embodied Uel Camilo dress which was made as feather-like TÜL and so becomes one of the my favorites. She wore Stuart Weitzman and glorious Le Vian ear rings showing you don’t have reveal much to look good and appealing.
